“La Salle was started on 5 th January 1959 in Classrooms lent us by the Marist Brothers of Catholic High School at Jalan Gasing in Section 10. We started with three Standard Ones and one From One(1). This had been set in motion 3 years earlier when Brother Lawrence Spitzig applied for a piece of land in Petaling Jaya on 2 nd of April 1956.
The La Salle story in Malaysia and Singapore began in March 1852 when six Brothers ( 4 French and 2 Irish ) arrived in Singapore after a sea journey of 3 months.
The Brothers , Lawrence Spitzitg , Cronan Curran and Alban de Rozario who served our school directly underwent great deprivation during the Japanese Occupation as they did not leave the counrty, THEY STAYED BEHIND when detained at Changi and Bahau. (2)
